The "Communities of Israel" series of Chanukah menorahs was designed inspired by Chanukah menorahs from the late 18th and 19th centuries from various communities around the world, some of which are displayed in the Israel Museum. The different Chanukah menorahs originated from Morocco, Germany, India, Algeria, Poland, Germany, and more.
It's exciting to see the Judaica items that were used in previous generations and in various diasporas, with the design, grace, and beauty created by the artists of that period.
The Chanukah menorah is a symbol, on one hand a symbol of the Menorah taken during the destruction of the Second Temple by the Romans, and on the other hand also a symbol of the Return to Zion and redemption. The Chanukah menorah we light evokes in us the memory of the chain of generations, and with this idea and thought, we created this series of Chanukah menorahs, a connection between past, present, and future.
The model for lighting candles includes aluminum bases suitable for standard candles. Does not include glass "cups".
