"Shema Yisrael" is a verse from the holy Torah found in Deuteronomy, Chapter Shema, Verse 4.
The verse is part of the Jewish prayer known as "Shema Yisrael" or "Kriat Shema",
which is recited in the morning and evening prayers, and in the evening prayer on Shabbat and holidays.
The prayer begins with the verse "Shema Yisrael, Adonai Eloheinu, Adonai Echad" (Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one),
and continues with various verses from the Jewish Bible, including verses from the Torah and the Tanakh. The prayer is intended to proclaim
